Taiwan and Altius
Taiwan is one of the most visible international buyers of Anduril hardware. Its purchases of Altius tube-launched drones fit a broader push, encouraged by Washington, for Taiwan to field large numbers of smaller, cheaper systems that are hard to target ('porcupine' or asymmetric defense).
In September 2026 Anduril announced Altius milestones in Taiwan and expanded local investment, following a 2025 commitment to new capabilities and partnerships on the island.
Why it matters: Taiwan sales put Anduril directly into one of the most sensitive U.S.-China issues, and they test whether startup-built systems can be delivered at the pace foreign customers need.
