What does it actually do?

Altius is a fixed-wing drone that folds into a tube. It can be launched from a helicopter or plane, from a truck, or from a ship, then unfolds its wings and flies. Some versions carry sensors or radio equipment; the M versions are loitering munitions that can strike targets.

Technical detail

  • Variants include Altius-600, Altius-700, Altius-600M and Altius-700M.
  • Modular payloads: ISR, signals intelligence, electronic warfare, communications relay, strike.
  • Came to Anduril through the 2021 acquisition of Area-I.
